In 2020, with the participation of reputable industrial companies in Alborz Province and with the mission of supporting top talents and knowledge-based companies, the Alborz Province Research and Technology Fund was established. Since inception, our vision has been to deliver comprehensive solutions that address the needs and reduce the operational challenges of knowledge-based, technology-driven, and industrial enterprises.
From the outset of our operations, and within the framework of the Statute of Research and Technology Funds, we have provided financial and credit services to companies. However, in pursuit of completing our service value chain, we assessed structural gaps within the innovation ecosystem. We concluded that enhancing the capabilities of startups and reducing production costs requires the presence of a specialized trading company to facilitate the import of essential raw materials and to support domestic sales and export of knowledge-based products.
Furthermore, recognizing the disconnect between ideas and industry, and the resulting inefficiencies, we identified the need for a dedicated platform to bridge academia and industry. Our objective has been to address critical R&D requirements, respond to industrial innovation demands, and resolve the fundamental challenge faced by startups in establishing production lines.
To realize this vision, we established Khalgh Afagh Trading & Manufacturing Company to operate in raw material procurement, domestic distribution, and export of knowledge-based products, thereby addressing existing ecosystem gaps. In addition, by launching the country’s first Contract Development and Manufacturing Center (CDMC), we stand alongside young and talented teams, offering integrated services ranging from acceleration to contract manufacturing. Today, we position ourselves as the only integrated platform in Iran delivering end-to-end services — from zero (acceleration) to one hundred (export) — for knowledge-based companies. With the mission of retaining and empowering national talent, we continue our journey supported by the valuable expertise and strategic network of our shareholders.

Fund Alborz Office
The building of the Alborz Province Research and Technology Fund (Shahid Soleimani Co-Creation Center) was inaugurated in March 2023 in the presence of the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Head of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR). The facility comprises four floors with a total built-up area of 7,400 square meters. The ground, first, and second floors are allocated to 11 specialized Contract Development and Manufacturing Centers (CDMCs). The third and fourth floors accommodate the operational units of the Alborz Province Research and Technology Fund.
